Our cafeteria includes our hard-working staff of Mrs. Zahn, Mrs. Kinnison and Mrs. Roscoe. Listed below are different sections that give a multitude of information in regards to food service at our school.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served daily, as soon as students get off of the bus and the school day begins. Breakfast is FREE for the 2026-2027 school year. That includes the main entrée, juice (and/or another fruit option) and milk. We also offer different alternatives for the main entrée.
LUNCH
Lunch is served daily in our cafeteria at the designated lunch periods throughout the day. Lunch is FREE for the 2026–2027 school year. That includes the main entrée, a choice of two vegetables, a choice of two fruits and milk. We are committed to serving healthy meals that meet the standards for the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act (HHFKA). Students are allowed to decline some foods, but they are also encouraged to take all the items offered to them. They may take all 5 food groups offered or choose to only take 3 of them. However, as a requirement of the HHFKA, they MUST take at least 1 fruit or vegetable.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS & FOOD ALLERGIES
Our district offers milk substitutes and can offer meal alternatives for students that have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies. In order to receive these accommodations, food service must have documentation from a doctor/physician stating exactly what these restrictions or allergies are. Once we receive proper documentation, cafeteria staff will be made aware of these restrictions. A memo will be entered into the point-of-sale system to alert staff and cashiers any and every time the student comes through the serving line for food. In addition, each kitchen will have a detailed list of students with these restrictions and allergies. The food service works along with the school nurses to try and ensure we are all current on the list of students throughout the school year.
SNACKS & ALA CARTE
The High School offers a multitude of different snacks and beverages to students and staff. These can be purchased at the register once the lunch line has gone through. Students are permitted to purchase snacks with cash, or off of their meal account, as long as there is not a negative balance on their account.
POINT-OF-SALE MEAL ACCOUNT
All students in the High School, as well as the Middle School, have a PIN number to access their meal account in the cafeteria. If your student does not have a PIN number or does not know it, contact Jodie Fetters, PV Food Service Supervisor, at 440-293-6488 (option 5) or jodie.fetters@pvschools.org. This account provides a confidential way for the cashier to know if a student qualifies for free or reduced meals, allows students to charge (if needed), and allows for pre-payment of meals.
ONLINE MEAL ACCOUNTS
For your convenience, we offer a website that allows you to view your child’s purchases, account balances, set up balance reminders via e-mail and make online payments towards an account. This website is called My School Bucks and can be found at www.myschoolbucks.com (tap the image below to be routed to the webpage). It’s easy to sign up for. You will need your student’s ID number (different than the PIN number that is used at the cash register) to set up an account. If you do not know the student’s ID number, you can make a request for it through the website or contact Jodie Fetters, PV Food Service Supervisor, for the information.
PLEASE NOTE…DEPOSITS ONLINE THROUGH THE MY SCHOOL BUCKS WEBSITE/APP TAKES 24 TO 48 HOURS TO PROCESS AND UPLOAD INTO THE FOOD SERVICE SYSTEM.
